WoW is the standard abbreviation for World of Warcraft. In the past month, Trends shows people who searched for Azeroth Survivors also searched for “wow” itself — a sign that many new players are arriving without knowing whether Azeroth Survivors is part of WoW, a mod, or a separate game.
It is a separate fan game, built on a from-scratch Rust engine that rebuilds the WoW 1.12 client look. It is not a WoW mod, not a private server, and not sold by Blizzard.
